When installed, the STC will allow the technician to reseal the entire strut without having to remove the main landing gear from the aircraft. The upper oring can be removed and replaced with the gear installed as opposed to complete removal, reseal and re-installation. The internal Strut Metering Valve may also be removed and replaced while the Main Landing Gear remains installed in the aircraft. Strut servicing is less tedious with increased access to the servicing valve.

The FAA has approved our kit for multiple configurations; left and right wings, left wing only or right wing only. This gives you the option to install the kit on both wings or on each wing separately.
What this means is that you don’t have to install the kit on both wings simultaneously and only have to install the kit on the wing that has the leaking strut.
The FAA recently approved the addition of the PA-28-180 to the list of eligible aircraft.

The components for the Access Panel Kit do not need any preparation prior to installation and all Kit installation hardware is also included!
The new Cover Plate and Gasket will lower the risk of costly corrosion.
The Cover Plate is made from corrosion resistant Stainless Steel and along with the Gasket, will greatly reduce or even eliminate moisture from entering the wing above the Main Landing Gear Strut.
The overall risks to the Technician and Aircraft are greatly reduced when the Landing Gear is left in the Aircraft while performing Maintenance.
The Cover Plate can easily be removed for inspection and servicing.
No strut removal is required to reseal the entire Main Gear Landing Strut or to replace the Oring on the Cylinder Head individually. If necessary, the Internal Strut Metering Valve can also be removed without removing the Landing Gear.
Common misconceptions concerning "Resealing" the Main Landing Gear Strut.
Not having to remove the Main Landing Gear Strut(s) for a simple "Re-seal" will save thousands of dollars over the life of the Aircraft!
